The sectional Ranger of the Year evaluation took place at Bethel Assembly of God in Temple on August 26. The Southwest Division got together to conduct the sectional evaluations. The Waco section was represented by two fine young men. Caleb Follis representing First Assembly of God in Waco, competed as a Discovery Ranger. As the top score earner, he earned the right to serve as the Section Patrol Guide for an additional year, however at the personal request of his father, Del Follis, Waco area commander, he will not be serving in that role for the next year. The other young man was Chris Trower, sectional FCF Scout and Jr. Commander, representing Praise Temple Assembly of God in Waco. He competed as an Expedition Ranger. He achieved the level of Outstanding and was named Sectional Ranger of the Year. Since he was the highest score earner in Expedition Rangers, he earned the right to serve another year as the Sectional Jr. Commander. Chris Trower will be going on to compete at the district Ranger of the Year on September 23.
Congratulations to both of these young men.
