Dear NTD Pastor:

I trust that you are having a great day in the Lord today!

This is simply a brief letter of information to keep you up-to-date on a special news item.

The Executive Presbytery is pleased to announce that we have a new NTD Royal Ranger Commander: Jonathan Trower. He is presently serving as the South Central Regional Royal Ranger Commander, an assignment he has filled for several years after serving in Royal Ranger leadership roles in North Texas for many years, where he has proven himself very faithful and dedicated in each assignment.

Here are a couple of interesting items: Jonathan began his participation in Royal Rangers at the age of nine. Last year his son was named the 2006 National Ranger of the Year; so, not only has Jonathan been very involved in Rangers since boyhood, but so have members of his family.

Jonathan lives in Waco, Texas, and attends the Praise Temple Assembly of God Church where Duane Hoxworth is the senior pastor and Elwyn Johnston is the Waco Sectional Presbyter. He is a member of the faculty at Baylor University in Waco where he is referred to as Dr. Jonathan Trower

He is succeeding Paul Patterson, the former NTD Royal Ranger District Commander, who resigned in January, 2007.

I am presently on the 2007 Leadership Banquet Tour and looking forward to sharing with you in your section. So far, the dinners in the Austin Section and the Brazos Valley Section went exceptionally well. Tonight and tomorrow nights I will be in the San Angelo Section and the Abilene Section respectively.

Hoping to see you soon . . . Remember: You are one of God’s favored!

Vic Schober, North Texas District Superintendent
