Greetings Commanders,

This note is to give you all an idea of the type of work that will be performed this weekend at workday.

There are areas that need some underbrush and even some small trees removed to create campsites. These sites are down the hill along the low road. We’ve been clearing some of those areas out the last few years and need to continue that to create more campsites. Bring chainsaws, brush trimmers, etc. Some small earth moving eqpt will also be necessary. If you have any of that type equipment you can bring please let me know.

There will be some clean up done in the barn, the pavilion, and the storage trailer. Some items will be tossed, others will be rearranged, etc. There are several areas to clean up.

The trams need some wielding work for repair.

This is an example of the type of work to be performed. There is a lot of work to be done for the upcoming Great Texas Pow-Wow that will better the camp for years to come. Please make arrangements if you haven’t already to be there this weekend to help ready the campgrounds.

Also, I understand the weather may not be totally blessed this weekend. Work day will continue regardless of the weather. As you can see above, there is plenty of work that can and needs to be done under the cover of the pavilion or barn so work day will continue.

See you there.
