Commanders,

The following letter was sent to churches this week. But we wanted to make sure you as commanders in the district knew about this opportunity to help honor Paul Patterson for his years of service to the North Texas District Royal Rangers.

Please share this letter with your other commanders, and your pastor and board.

Jonathan

Greetings Pastors and Royal Rangers Commanders:

As you have already been made aware of, Paul Patterson has stepped down as the District Royal Rangers Commander after 13 years of dedicated service (January 1994 to January 2007). Commander Paul has been instrumental in the development of many areas of the Royal Rangers ministry in this district, including our summer Pow Wow and various other camps, and the development of our campground, including the Ollie Henley Lodge, pavilion, first aid/communications building, pageant site, and other buildings.

We want to honor Paul and his wife Denise at a luncheon on April 21, 2007. The luncheon will be held in conjunction with the District Commanders Conference at First Assembly of God in Euless, Texas. We are asking each church to send an offering as a token of appreciation for Paul’s years of service. Any personal gifts are welcomed.

Please send your offering to the District Royal Rangers office for the Paul Patterson honorarium fund. If you have an offering, please have it to the district office by April 16, 2007.

Thanks for your thoughtfulness in this matter.

In His Service,

Duane Swanson
Children’s Ministries Division Chairman
