Just a reminder that this Saturday is the final Work Day for the Great Texas Pow Wow. We have men and boys from across the state of Texas registered for this event, and we want our campgrounds to look great. Please plan on bringing a work crew from your outpost to help with the final preparations for the camp.

Saturday morning we will be doing general camp work, making sure the parade field, pageant site, water front, game field, and other common areas are ready to go. Once that’s finished, you will be able to work in your campsite. We ask that you plan on clearing more than one campsite, as there will be some groups coming from the extreme parts of Texas who don’t have the opportunity to come and prepare their site this weekend.

Bring mowers, weed eaters, rakes, work gloves, safety glasses, chain saws, etc. to help get our camp in final shape.

Limited lodging is available Friday night in the lodge for men; your entire group is welcome to come out and camp Friday night if you wish.

In case you don’t already know, the new entrance to our side of the camp is WEST of the old entrance. It is along the west fence line to the property. The old entrance that we have used for the past dozen years is no longer usable.

I hope to see you Saturday at Maypearl.
