This is a new program launched during our district staff meeting the first weekend of January, 2008. Duane Swanson, the district children’s ministries director, was there to share this vision he has for developing a funding mechanism for both our existing children’s ministries — including Royal Rangers — and for funding the development of children’s ministries in new churches. This program has already, in just the second week of January, received support and pledges from churches, children’s pastors, Girls Ministries leaders, and Royal Rangers leaders.

NTCM 12/30
What is it?
North Texas Children’s Ministries 12/30 is an endeavor put together by all the ministries and leaders of the children’s ministries of the North Texas District. It is our one effort to raise funds for two very important purposes in children’s ministries.
What’s it for?
These funds will be used for a two-fold purpose. The first is to help strengthen the financial base of operations for NTD Children’s Ministries so we have the necessary funds to accomplish what we want to do. Secondly, we will use these funds to help establish children’s ministries in our new church plants which will be planted each year.
How does it work?
We are looking for individuals, pastors, sections, or churches who would give $30 a month. We would ask you to send these in monthly and mark in the memo area: NTCM12/30. We then would send out information to you on a monthly basis to let you know we received your offering, and we would also let you know what was going on with the money that you are giving.
What do I get out of it?
This might sound like a selfish question to answer but we want you to know you will get something out of it. We believe as you plant $30 a month into these two endeavors that you will see God bless your ministry as well as having the privilege of being a part of “Target 1000”. For those you who don’t know what that is, it is the vision of our district to see 1000 healthy churches in the North Texas District. We also believe that as you give, God will do incredible things in your life, the life of your church, and the lives of children in churches that are yet to be planted.
GOAL:Our goal for this endeavor is to have 200 participants to help us reach North Texas. If you would like to be a part of NTCM 12/30 please send in the response card.
