Commanders,
Would you please circulate the following prayer request to everyone on your mailing list and ask them to do likewise? I cannot tell you how VITAL this is to the future of Royal Rangers. We need every Royal Ranger leader, our pastors and others that will to pray.
National Royal Ranger Commander, Doug Marsh, will be meeting with Brother Alton Garrison, Assistant General Superintendent and Doug’s direct report and Brother J. T. Wray, the new head of Gospel Publishing House this Thursday, January 24th from 3 to 5 in the afternoon.
Doug will be presenting his vision for the future of our ministry and it is vital that these gentlemen agree or I’m afraid we will “flat line” or begin a long slow slide into oblivion. Please take time to absorb that last sentence…
Pray specifically (and fast if you will):
- That Doug will be able to articulate the vision for moving forward and developing Royal Rangers as the world’s absolute best tool for building boys into Christian men and leaders
- That the Holy Spirit will be present, inspiring Doug to communicate and the brethren to receive his message with favor.
- That Bros. Garrison and Wray will catch the vision and the see future harvest it can bring.
- That Doug will receive a ‘green light’ to proceed to implement those changes that will bring the vision to fruition.
You will begin to hear the details of that vision in the ensuing months if we are granted permission to proceed. District Commanders have been briefed as Doug has traveled to the regions and met with them. They whole heartedly agree with the direction that Doug has begun to map out and are excited to begin. This direction is the result of the year long surveys and in-depth conversations with our pastors and others.
Blessings,
Jim Barger
National Council President
