I just contacted the national Royal Rangers office and negotiated an extension in the registration deadline for the Ranger Kids Training Conference (RKTC) that will be held in North Texas. The new registration deadline is March 10.
However, if you want the pre-registration discount of $25, your application still needs to be postmarked by this Friday, February 29. Applications are available from the national Royal Rangers web site at http://royalrangers.ag.org/training/registration/index.cfm
The RKTC will be held on two consecutive Saturdays — March 29 and April 5. You must attend both sessions in order to complete the RKTC. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. each day, and both sessions will adjourn at 6:30 p.m.
Both sessions will be held at the Royal Rangers camp at Maypearl, TX.
In case you are trying to decide if you should attend, let me encourage you to attend this training if you work with Ranger Kids. This conference is designed to give RK commanders new ideas and insights into how to effectively minister to the Ranger Kids boys. There is no pre-requisite for attending. As long as you are 18 years old or older and can get your pastor’s signature, you can attend RKTC. The conference is open to both men and women.
If you are working on your Leaders Medal of Achievement (LMA), completion of RKTC will satisfy one of the requirements for the LMA.
I hope to see you at RKTC.
