CORRECTION: It was pointed out to me that the chartering period officially ends on October 15th and that this post was a day early, but I hope it lit a fire under those that are going to try to get in under the wire to make sure that ya’ll are chartered.

Well, the official chartering period is over (or will be in about half an hour from the time I publish this post), and the Waco section is officially 6 churches down in our chartering numbers currently.  As of 10:21 PM the National Royal Rangers Office showed First Assembly of God in Belton (Outpost 109), Praise Temple Assembly of God (Outpost 377), and Five Hills Assembly of God (Outpost 526) as being chartered.  I know some other churches were working on getting everything together to charter.  Just a reminder that to be eligible for the chartering discount at Winter Camp, your church must be chartered for the 2009-2010 charter year.  Otherwise, you will be charged the non-chartered fee at Winter Camp.

For those that are worried about the online chartering process, I found it to be easy when I chartered my church, just make sure that you go all the way until you see a page that says congratulations and allows you the opportunity to print your church’s charter certificate.  This is your visual clue that your charter has been successfully completed.  There is a video available for you to watch that walks you through the process of chartering your church.  Just a note before you start, make sure you have your church’s GPH account number (your personal one won’t work) and also make sure that you are planning on using a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover to pay for the charter.  You will be required to designate one leader as a primary contact.  The only contact information you are required to fill out is as the person doing the chartering and the information for the primary contact.  All other leaders you only have to give there name.  However, it is strongly recommended that you fill in all there personal contact information as well because the district will use that information to send information about upcoming events to chartered commanders, but they can only do so if they have the contact information for your commanders.
